Job Summary: An environmental professional responsible for inspecting and managing chemical materials, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational safety. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensure compliance with regulations governing the handling of chemical materials. 2. Conduct inspections and report anomalies related to chemical usage. 3. Guarantee proper identification and storage of chemical substances. Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering and/or related fields Immediate availability required Knowledge and proficiency in NOM 018\-SPTS\-2015 Key Activities: Perform periodic inspections and manage chemical materials across all areas, and report any anomalies identified during inspections via audit reports. * Ensure that operational areas of the facility using chemical materials maintain all containers properly labeled with: Spanish-language labels, hazard level indicators, and precautionary measures; and that all Safety Data Sheets are legible and in good condition. * Ensure that inappropriate containers (e.g., water bottles, soft drink bottles, etc.) are not used for storing chemical materials. * Ensure that all chemicals are approved. * Ensure no spills occur; if spills do occur, report them immediately to responsible personnel and to the Environmental Department. * Verify that spill response kits contain the necessary absorbent materials. * Must ensure full compliance with all requirements listed above.
