**Job Opening: Conventional Machinist / Lathe-Mill Operator**

**What will be your mission?**
Manufacture, grind, and fit high-precision mechanical parts and components using conventional lathes and milling machines, ensuring operational continuity and maintenance of our tooling.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Operation of Machine Tools (Lathe and Milling Machine):**
* Expert operation of a **mechanical lathe** for turning, facing, drilling, and threading parts (bolts, shoulder screws, bushings).
* Operation of a **conventional milling machine** for planing, slotting, squaring, and machining boxes or recesses in steel plates.
* Appropriate selection of cutting tools (tool bits, cutters, drills) and calculation of speeds (RPM) based on material type (commercial steels, heat-treated steels, or bronze).
* **Precision Machining and Fitting:**
* Manufacturing and grinding mechanical components (punches, dies, cylindrical parts) strictly according to technical drawings, sketches, or physical samples (assembled or damaged).
* Working within standard shop mechanical tolerances to ensure correct assembly of parts.
* **Support for Tooling Maintenance:**
* Component repair: extraction of broken/stubborn bolts, re-cutting damaged threads, and machining replacement parts for inventory.
* Modification of existing components via drilling or milling per technical instructions.
* **Measurement Control and Safety:**
* Mandatory use of measuring instruments: **Vernier caliper, outside micrometer, and dial indicator**.
* Maintaining order and cleanliness in the work area (deburring, cleaning machine beds) and strict use of personal protective equipment.
**Requirements:**
* Proven experience operating conventional lathes and milling machines.
* Basic mathematical skills for RPM and feed rate calculations.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and sketches.
* Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
* Proactive attitude, organized approach, and strong focus on industrial safety.
**Employment Offer:**
* **Salary:** $2,500.00 net per week.
* **Working Hours:** Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
* **Break Time:** 30 minutes for lunch daily.
* **Employment Scheme:** Initial contract for a probationary period (with potential for permanent placement based on performance).
