**Job Description** A food industry company is seeking an **Ecology Officer** to manage, collect, and control hazardous waste generated, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. We are looking for a responsible, organized individual committed to environmental protection. **Requirements** * Age: Over 18 years old * Education: Completed high school * Experience: * 3 to 5 years as an Ecology Officer or in hazardous waste management (preferably in the food industry) * 1 to 3 years as a seated forklift operator * **Forklift License DC\-3** (mandatory) * Knowledge of waste management, contingency plans, and emergency response * Basic proficiency in **Microsoft Office** (logs and records) **Skills and Competencies** * Responsibility and commitment * Proactivity and initiative * Adherence to safety standards * Organization and attention to detail * Ability to learn quickly **Main Responsibilities** * Collection, transportation, and control of hazardous waste in production areas * Cleaning, labeling, and refurbishing of containers * Loading of waste and containers * Weighing of materials (sludge, oil, varnish, solids) * Logging and traceability of waste records * Inspection and maintenance of spill kits * Safe operation of forklifts and proper use of PPE **Additional Requirements** * Passing of the pre\-employment medical examination.
