We invite you to learn more about us, our operations, and our exciting plans for the future.**The purpose of this role is to safely, timely, and effectively execute fixed equipment maintenance work orders within the electrical discipline according to the weekly maintenance schedule.*** **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field. * 3 years of field experience in electrical maintenance within a mining environment. * Knowledge of reading electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams. * Ability to perform diagnostics on electrical equipment using specialized tools. * Fieldwork skills applicable to underground mining. * Proficiency in Office 365. * **Key Responsibilities:** * 70% Maintenance Plan Execution: * Read and understand the information contained in the Work Order received from the Supervisor. * Clarify with the Supervisor any unclear aspects of the Work Order. * Retrieve specified resources from inventory, such as supplies, spare parts, and tools, and confirm they are ready for use. * Confirm with the Supervisor that the equipment is available to begin the Work Order. * Safely perform the electrical maintenance tasks specified in the Work Order following standard operating procedures. Report any anomalies requiring immediate attention to the Supervisor. * The Electrical Engineer shall: * Install and maintain low and medium voltage electrical systems as required by the Maintenance Program and mining operations. * Ensure electrical power is safely available at the working face or wherever needed during the mining cycle. * Perform maintenance on electrical equipment such as electric motors, MLCs, electrical starters, outlets, transformers, switches, power lines, VFDs, etc. * Effectively diagnose faults related to electrical systems, networks, and equipment. * Review electrical equipment data logs to identify improvements and predict failures in the mine’s electrical network. * Verify that no materials, tools, or rags have been left inside the equipment. * Record maintenance data completed on the Work Order. * Notify the Supervisor of any issues with the equipment or area. * Inform the Supervisor upon task completion and request a new assignment. * Follow environmental procedures when disposing of hazardous waste such as oil, lubricants, rags, etc. * Provide real-time information through appropriate workplace technology as required during the shift. * Perform unplanned tasks as necessary. * Clean the work area upon task completion. Knowledge:* Knowledge (not mastery) of low and medium voltage electrical systems (110\-440V) * Proficiency in reading hydraulic, electrical, and control diagrams for mobile mining drilling equipment * Familiarity with technical terminology used in underground mining processes * Knowledge (not mastery) of SMAW, MIG, TIG welding techniques * Understanding of administration, planning, and execution processes for maintenance programs based on KPIs * Experience with ERP systems (SAP or similar preferred) * Valid driver's license Responsibilities:* Attend Shift Supervisor Meetings (start and end) to ensure work is effectively coordinated with other areas, disciplines, and Contractor Supervisors during the shift regarding safety, cycle interference, and operational tasks. * Review compliance with the Daily/Weekly Maintenance Schedule to ensure alignment with priorities established in the Technical Services plan. * Collect Work Orders and verify that all required resources—such as equipment, tools, BPF kits, and proper site conditions—are available for the shift. * Meet with Team Members, deliver a safety briefing, assign Work Orders/Task Cards for the shift, clarify tasks, and coordinate with Team Members and third parties as needed. Approve permits, 4-phase Work Notebook, work permits, and/or Safety Plans (for non-standard tasks) as required during the shift. * Monitor/supervise execution of Work Orders/Task Cards to ensure planned or corrective maintenance is performed safely and promptly, including: * Maintenance of various drilling equipment systems * Efficient diagnosis of drilling equipment failures * Completion of all scheduled predictive, preventive, corrective, and lubrication maintenance Work Orders included in Daily/Weekly Plans * Ensuring underground mobile equipment receives required fuel and lubricants during the shift * Ensuring all Team Members follow standard operating procedures, QA/QC standards, and OEM recommendations during maintenance tasks * Conducting equipment testing in the work area with the end user * Confirming Team Members have not left any supplies or tools on equipment * Verifying Team Members have recorded maintenance data on the Work Order * Ensuring Team Members follow environmental procedures when disposing of hazardous waste such as oil, lubricants, hydrocarbon-soaked materials, etc. * Confirming Team Members clear the work area upon task completion and return unused supplies, spare parts, and tools to inventory * Respond effectively to any issue affecting planned work, such as: * Safety concerns * Absenteeism or lack of personnel * Mobile equipment downtime * Diagnostic time exceeding MML-established standards * Equipment stoppage volume higher than expected * Lack of services, materials/supplies, tools, spare parts * Shortage of drilling fleet or support from auxiliary/service/haulage fleets * Communicate and coordinate continuously with other Mine Supervisors to advance the mining cycle: Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse, Contractors, among others. * Provide real-time updates using appropriate workplace technology as specified throughout the shift. * Collect Work Orders/Task Cards from Team Members.
