




**Job Description** ------------------------- Supervise shift activities by monitoring and analyzing information from different process areas and various maintenance activities, efficiently ensuring compliance with instructions and proper operation and maintenance of equipment, as well as establishing priorities in addressing failures or incidents through appropriate resource allocation and effective coordination of on-shift personnel, ensuring product output meets specifications in terms of quantity, quality, and cost, while fostering a harmonious and safe working environment. **Main Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Supervise field shift activities: equipment inspections, safety, organization and cleanliness, special operations, machine startups and shutdowns. * Coordinate activities to resolve failures or incidents and prepare reports on operating conditions, production levels, and existing inventories. * Analyze main equipment parameters from the control panel (COP), correlate them with field observations, and ensure continuous, stable, and safe equipment operation. * Conduct effective shift handovers, reporting equipment operating conditions (kilns, mills, etc.) and product quality. * Verify that equipment startup conditions are safe and maintain stable operations without exceeding equipment capacity. * Ensure operations and processes minimize environmental impacts. **Position Challenges** -------------------- * Effectively diagnose equipment operating conditions by correlating parameters and behaviors to improve preventive and predictive decision-making. * Coordinate production personnel and maintenance staff during the shift (in the absence of maintenance supervisors). * Prevent unauthorized personnel from operating the control panel and maintain discipline within the control room and work areas. * Halt any activity not performed according to established procedures. * Request cleaning or removal of hazardous solid spills or waste in any plant area. **Required Skills and Knowledge** ------------------------------------------ Education: * High School Diploma * Completed Technical Degree Required Experience: * Operations\-Cement * Plant Operations Required Knowledge: * Cement manufacturing process: theoretical or practical * Process control * Personnel management * Proficiency in Microsoft Office * Process book, PIWEB. * Analysis of relative trends, variable correlations Critical Competencies: * Possess operational, safety, and maintenance knowledge of equipment and processes, as well as basic product quality principles. * Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously. * High level of concentration and commitment. * Leadership skills to manage a work team. * Analytical ability when processing large amounts of variables and situational data. **Relationships** -------------- Internal: * Unionized Technicians * Plant Staff External: * Suppliers * Contractors **Diversity and Inclusion at CEMEX** ----------------------------------- At CEMEX, we recognize the diversity of the world in which we live and conduct business.
