Collaborate with cross-functional teams for requirements analysis Mainframe Developer (COBOL, DB2, IMS) – Hybrid \| Guadalajara Job Summary We are seeking an experienced **Mainframe Developer** with strong hands\-on expertise in **COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IMS** to join our team in **Guadalajara**. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise\-level mainframe applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and adherence to development standards. This position requires collaboration with cross\-functional teams to deliver high\-quality solutions while supporting critical business systems. **Location:** Guadalajara, Mexico **Work Model:** Hybrid Key Responsibilities * Develop, enhance, and maintain **COBOL batch and online programs** * Write and optimize **JCL** for job execution, scheduling, and utility processes * Work with **DB2 SQL**, stored procedures, and performance tuning * Manage and support **IMS DB/DC** database and transaction processing * Develop automation scripts using **Rexx** * Participate in development and support activities using **PL/I** (as applicable) * Utilize mainframe development tools such as **Endevor, Changeman, File\-AID, and Abend\-AID** * Perform **unit, integration, and regression testing** * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams for **requirements analysis and technical design** * Ensure adherence to **coding standards, documentation, and production support best practices** Required Skills \& Experience * **4–10 years of experience** in Mainframe development * Strong experience with **COBOL (batch and online)** * Solid knowledge of **JCL and mainframe job utilities** * Experience with **DB2 SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization** * Experience with **IMS DB/DC** * Working knowledge of **Rexx scripting** * Experience with mainframe tools such as **Endevor, Changeman, File\-AID, or Abend\-AID** * Strong analytical, debugging, and problem\-solving skills * Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment Nice to Have * Experience with **PL/I** * Experience supporting **enterprise\-level legacy systems** Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent Pay: $60,000\.00 \- $110,000\.00 per month Application Question(s): * Can you describe your experience working with DB2 and writing or optimizing SQL queries in mainframe applications? * What experience do you have working with IMS DB/DC or similar transaction processing systems? * Are you currently located in Guadalajara and willing to work in a hybrid model (2 \- 3 days) at office? * Do you have hands\-on experience with COBOL, JCL, and DB2 in a mainframe environment?
