The ideal candidate has strong hands\-on experience with COBOL/400, CLLE, SQL/400, and IBM i development tools. This role involves participating in the full software development lifecycle, supporting critical business applications, and ensuring system reliability and performance. **Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM i / AS400 platform. * Program and enhance components using COBOL/400, ILE COBOL, CL/CLLE, and SQL/400\. * Create, optimize, and maintain database objects and data structures in DB2/400\. * Analyze functional requirements and translate them into efficient technical solutions. * Perform unit testing, debugging, and technical documentation. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to ensure system quality and operational continuity. * Utilize IBM i tools such as PDM, SEU, RDi, or similar IDEs for development and maintenance tasks. * Provide support for incidents, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. **Requirements** * 3 to 5\+ years of experience developing on the IBM i / AS400 platform. * Strong proficiency in: * COBOL/400, ILE COBOL * CL/CLLE * DB2/400, SQL/400 * Experience with IBM i development tools and system utilities, including: * PDM, SEU, RDi (or equivalent IDEs) * Solid understanding of structured programming and IBM i development best practices. * Ability to work in mission‑critical environments under agile or traditional methodologies. * Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a quality‑driven mindset.
