Position Summary: The Environmental Supervisor ensures the implementation of field-based environmental controls and compliance with regulatory requirements to maintain operational environmental performance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards during operations. 2. Leads the implementation of environmental restoration and waste management programs. 3. Supervises environmental monitoring and water treatment systems. We invite you to learn more about us, our operations, and our exciting plans for the future. **The Environmental Supervisor ensures the implementation of field-based environmental controls and compliance with regulatory and site-specific standards to maintain the operation’s environmental performance.** **Requirements:** **Mandatory Requirements (Non-negotiable):** * Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering, Ecology, or a related field. * Certification or training in hazardous and non-hazardous waste management. * Certification or training in sanitary landfill management. * Certification or training in soil restoration. * Certification or training in environmental monitoring and sampling. **Desirable Requirements:** * Certification or training in ISO 14001. Training in Geolocation Systems (ArcGIS or Google Earth). **Work Experience:** * 1–5 years of experience in waste management and on-site implementation of environmental restoration programs. * Experience in management and operation of sanitary landfills and organic cells. * Experience in supervising water treatment systems and controlling operational environmental parameters. * Experience in supervising environmental monitoring campaigns and validating data for operational control. **Knowledge by Key Area:** * Waste Management * Applicable regulations governing hazardous and non-hazardous waste management. * Operational control of waste storage and disposal. * Environmental Restoration * Flora and fauna management. * Environmental restoration and rehabilitation programs. * Environmental Monitoring * Applicable regulations governing water, air, soil, and noise monitoring. * Environmental sampling methodologies and data quality control. * Applicable regulations governing water quality and discharge. * Water Management * + Operation and control of water treatment systems. *NOTE: Torex Gold Resources and its subsidiaries do not accept resumes from recruitment agencies that are not under an active contract and have not been designated as authorized partners to conduct search activities.*
