Job Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to maintain low- and medium-voltage electrical networks, ensure energy availability, and diagnose failures in process equipment within a mining environment. This is the Torex Way. **What We Are Looking For** **Education** * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Technician, or related field. **Certifications:** * Certification or training in industrial electrical equipment maintenance. * Certification or training in electrical fault diagnosis and use of measurement instruments. * Training in electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. **Tools:** * Proficiency with Office 365\. * Use of electrical measurement instruments (multimeter, clamp meter, or other diagnostic equipment). **Experience:** * Experience executing electrical maintenance work orders in industrial or mining environments. * Experience maintaining electric motors, transformers, motor starters, VFDs, and industrial electrical networks. * Experience diagnosing and correcting electrical faults in process equipment or electrical infrastructure. * Field experience performing electrical maintenance within industrial or mining operations. * Experience documenting technical information and communicating equipment conditions upon task completion. * Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams. * Preventive and corrective maintenance of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems. + **Shift Closeout and Activity Reporting** + Technical data recording and documentation of maintenance activities. + Use of digital tools for work order reporting and tracking. **3\. Other Duties and Regulatory Compliance** **Knowledge** + Electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. + Environmental practices for handling waste generated during maintenance. **Key Responsibilities:** **Execution of Maintenance Plan:** * Read and understand the information contained in the Work Order received from your Supervisor. * Clarify with your Supervisor any unclear aspects of the Work Order. * Retrieve from the warehouse the resources specified in the Work Order — supplies, spare parts, and tools — and confirm they are ready for use. * Confirm with your Supervisor that the equipment is available to perform the Work Order. * Safely carry out the electrical maintenance tasks specified in the Work Order, following standard operating procedures. * Report to your Supervisor any anomalies requiring immediate attention. **The Electrical Engineer must:** * Install and maintain low- and medium-voltage electrical networks as required by the Maintenance Program and the mining process. * Ensure safe and reliable electrical power supply at the mine face or wherever required during the mining cycle. * Maintain electrical equipment such as electric motors, MLCs, electrical motor starters, electrical outlets, transformers, switches, power lines, VFDs, etc. * Effectively diagnose faults related to electrical systems, power networks, and electrical equipment. * Review electrical equipment data logs to identify improvements and predict failures in the mine’s electrical network. * Verify that no consumables, tools, or rags remain inside the equipment. * Record maintenance data in the Work Order. * Notify your Supervisor of any equipment or area issues. * Inform your Supervisor upon task completion and request assignment of a new task. * Follow environmental procedures when disposing of hazardous waste such as oil, lubricants, rags, etc. * Provide real-time information using appropriate workplace technology, as specified throughout the shift. * Perform unplanned tasks as required. * Clean the work area upon task completion.
