Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable EHS Coordinator to support and strengthen Polaris’s environmental, health, and safety programs at our Monterrey facility. In this role, you will work closely with the EHS Manager and the broader plant team to drive environmental compliance, promote a zero‑injury culture, and implement sustainability initiatives. You will play a key part in ensuring that all operations meet federal, state, local, and corporate EHS requirements while fostering continuous improvement across the organization. Preferred Qualifications* Master’s degree in Environmental Management or a related EHS discipline * Experience supporting certifications such as ISO 14001, OHSAS, Industria Limpia, or Autogestión de Seguridad y Salud * Strong communication, coaching, and environmental and safety education experience * Advanced skills in data analysis, metrics tracking, and reporting Required Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or a related field with relevant experience * At least 5 years of experience in EHS within a complex, fast‑paced manufacturing environment * Strong knowledge of Mexican environmental and safety laws and regulations * Minimum 80% English proficiency (written and spoken) Position Overview The EHS Coordinator will serve as the facility’s environmental compliance lead, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and internal standards. Working closely with the Monterrey EHSS Manager, Corporate Environmental Manager, and the local EHS team, this role coordinates permitting processes, manages legal reporting, maintains agency relationships, and supports safety and environmental programs throughout the facility. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, coordinating environmental and sustainability programs, promoting EHS culture and education, and overseeing permitting and regulatory updates. The role also includes tracking corporate environmental metrics such as energy use, water consumption, waste generation, and incident reductions. Additional responsibilities involve managing agency inspections, supporting internal audits, verifying program implementation, and ensuring that new equipment, processes, and expansions meet environmental and safety requirements. The EHS Coordinator will also apply risk analysis methodologies, lead root‑cause investigations, and provide training materials and communication strategies to support EHS initiatives. This role interacts closely with all areas of the plant, which includes operations such as welding, painting, plastic injection, fabrication, and assembly.
