Description and details of activities **Summary:** Development of plans, strategy, training, and release of engineering processes; coordinates activities for process maturation as well as acquisition of new equipment for molding, welding, and assembly areas; preparation of engineering documentation on time and form for all new project launches or transfers. **Essential duties and responsibilities** include the following. Other functions may be assigned: * Maintain systems for installation, integration, and operation. * Maintain and update control systems. * Use engineering design software to create, modify, and analyze project schematics. * Develop appropriate documentation. * Establish equipment specifications and requirements. * Design systems using PLC programs, robotics, and sensor technologies. * Manage automation software development projects; develop and maintain automation software standards and collect business requirements, perform feasibility studies and create solution prototypes. * Lead troubleshooting efforts on automation projects. * Plan process automation testing and documentation. * Lead or participate in estimation processes. Experience and requirements **Requirements** * **Bachelor's degree** in Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering. * **Advanced English.** * **1 to 2 years** of experience in plastic injection processes (desirable). * **5 to 7 years** of experience programming Cartesian robots. * **2 to 3 years** of experience programming 6-axis robots. * **2 to 3 years** of experience in autonomous maintenance. * **5 years** of experience in electrical, mechanical, or control system design. * Experience with **PLC and SCADA systems** (Supervision, Control, and Data Acquisition). * Knowledge of **programmable automation equipment**. * Knowledge of regulations: * **ISO 14001** * **IATF Standard** * Experience in **maintenance of injection equipment**. * Proficiency in **statistical tools**. * Proficiency in **problem-solving tools**. * Proficiency in **Microsoft Office**.
