Mission Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements for the business unit by coordinating, executing, and monitoring actions aimed at maintaining a healthy and safe workplace, while supporting environmental preservation. Responsibilities * **Verify** compliance with safety regulations and provisions. * **Coordinate** safety and occupational health programs and activities with departments. * **Maintain** manuals, programs, and regulatory documentation up to date. * **Disseminate** safety policies and practices across the company. * **Respond to** inspections by authorities and external audits. * **Advise** supervisors and employees on risk prevention and regulatory compliance. * **Conduct** plant walkthroughs to identify hazards and validate safe conditions. * **Supervise** machinery, equipment, contractors, and critical processes. * **Inspect** personal protective equipment (PPE) and fire protection systems. * **Manage** hazardous waste, chemicals, and workplace environmental conditions. * **Coordinate** safety and hygiene training for personnel. * **Monitor** safety indicators, incident rates, and regulatory compliance. * **Coordinate** the Safety and Hygiene Committee and follow up on agreed actions. * **Organize** and conduct emergency response drills and programs. * **Develop** the Annual Safety, Health, and Hygiene Plan. * **Investigate** accidents and validate reports submitted to relevant authorities. * **Supervise** safety conditions in internal operations and distribution centers. * **Administer** radiological safety controls and records. * **Manage** licenses, regulatory filings, and reports to regulatory authorities. * **Update** applicable regulations, onboarding programs, and safety policies. * **Ensure** compliance with legal parameters and corporate standards. * **Support** certifications, environmental programs, and continuous improvement. * **Suspend** activities posing risks to people or facilities.
