Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Powertrain.**Job Responsibilities:** **Position Objective**: The Test Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and developing test programs and functional DVP\&R for new internal customers and/or products. **Knowledge:** Interpretation of drawings, 3D design packages, geometric tolerances, mechanical component design, tolerance analysis, validation plans, material properties, manufacturing processes, AIAG core tools, problem-solving knowledge. **Requirements:** * Advanced English * Knowledge of powertrain components. **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree and professional license in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering. **Responsibilities:** * Generate work orders for laboratory testing, either locally (Ramos) or in Troy. * Generate work orders for prototype construction. * Create and track TRs in the system, generate UTTs, generate PWOs. * Communicate test status and results to internal customers. * Monitor progress of ongoing projects. **Experience:** * Minimum 2 years of work experience in similar positions. * Analytical ability, planning skills, understanding of engineering concepts and design principles. * Knowledge of computer software, organizational and communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish. **Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:** ---------------------------------- At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
