The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing critical applications for banking operations, ensuring high code quality and compliance with standards. This position requires collaborative work with business analysts, QA, and other developers to ensure that implemented solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with client needs. #### **Key Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain COBOL, BATCH, and CICS programs for critical banking systems. * Manage and optimize DB2 databases, ensuring data integrity and performance. * Execute and validate processes on Mainframe, guaranteeing system stability and availability. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using Scrum methodology, actively participating in agile ceremonies. * Review and improve existing processes to optimize performance and efficiency. * Perform unit and integration testing to ensure deliverable quality. * Document developments and changes made to maintain internal and regulatory standards. #### **Requirements** * Proven experience in COBOL development (minimum 3–5 years). * Advanced knowledge of Mainframe, BATCH, CICS, and DB2. * Proficiency in SQL for advanced queries and database optimization. * Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum). * Analytical ability to solve complex problems and propose effective solutions. * Communication skills to interact with technical and business teams. * Availability to work in hybrid mode in Mexico City. #### **Desirable** * Prior experience in the financial or banking sector. * Knowledge of version control tools and process automation.
