Geologist Database Analyst
A mining exploration company with metallic projects is seeking a **Geologist Database Analyst**. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, organizing, cleaning, modeling, and analyzing large volumes of geological, geochemical, and exploration data to generate value in decision-making. Your work will be key to ensuring data quality and standardization, designing efficient structures, identifying patterns and trends, as well as clearly communicating findings through reports and visualizations for technical and management teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Maintain geological databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
* Experience processing and organizing data, removing errors, duplicates, outliers, and missing values to ensure accuracy and reliability.
* Support the organization and analysis of geological data from field exploration programs and drilling campaigns.
* Conduct monitoring and QA/QC reporting to ensure data quality and compliance with internal protocols.
* Collaborate with geologists and technical staff in interpreting geological, geochemical, and geophysical data.
* Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, maps, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
* Participate in research and development projects focused on improving exploration techniques and geological models.
**Requirements**
* University degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field.
* 4 to 7 years of experience in metallic mining exploration, with solid knowledge in core logging, sampling, and mapping.
* Experience in database and QA/QC roles is essential.
* Proficiency in MXDeposit, Leapfrog Geo, and QGIS.
* Detail-oriented and proactive profile, with strong sense of responsibility.
* Ability to work in remote locations under various conditions.
* Residence in Zacatecas or willingness to relocate.
* English proficiency is valued but not mandatory.
