Job Summary:
We are seeking a Chef to define staffing requirements, organize, train, and supervise staff, ensuring proper food preparation and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and train the kitchen team.
2. Ensure food quality and safety.
3. Foster creativity in dish preparation.
**CHEF**
· Collaborate with immediate supervisor to determine required staffing levels based on workload.
· Organize, train, and supervise assigned personnel in compliance with restaurant policies, discipline, personal appearance, hygiene, and established safety standards.
· Ensure staff under supervision correctly apply safety standards, fully understand them, and implement them to minimize workplace risks and accidents.
· Monitor staff in proper food preparation according to procedures, recipes, presentation, quality, and portion control.
· Minimize waste as much as possible, both in hot and cold kitchens.
· Continuously monitor production percentages and efficiency of assigned personnel; supervise proper use of equipment while ensuring its optimal functioning.
· Ensure all service to the dining area is delivered promptly and meets requested specifications, including side dishes, cooking doneness, etc.
· Submit warehouse requisitions aligned with daily production and needs, avoiding overstocking.
· Maintain proper food rotation in refrigeration units, regularly verifying and maintaining appropriate temperatures in refrigerators and cold rooms.
· Encourage staff participation in developing new dishes and recipes, and organize technical demonstrations for them.
· Carry out all instructions and tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor, as well as any responsibilities inherent to the position.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 YEARS
BACHELOR'S DEGREE
ADMINISTRATIVE KNOWLEDGE
EXPERIENCE IN BUFFET AND GRILL SERVICE.

Salary: $13,000.00 - $15,000.00 per month
