Prepares food for buffet and à la carte service **Position Profile:** Cook **Position Title:** Cook "A" **Reports To:** Chef **Direct Reports:** YES (Kitchen Assistants) **Gender:** Unrestricted ***Age***: 28 to 45 years old ***Preference:*** Resides in the Northern Zone of Cuernavaca **Minimum Experience:** 1 to 2 years in hotel-catering kitchen operations; experience in hot, cold, or both kitchen stations. **Duties and Responsibilities** * Prepare food according to recipes and established standards. * Verify quality, freshness, and proper storage of ingredients. * Apply food hygiene and safety regulations (Distintivo H certification, if applicable). * Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area. * Assist in setting up buffets, banquets, and special events. * Control portion sizes and minimize waste. * Report ingredient shortages to the Chef or supervisor. * Assist with kitchen inventories. * Meet service delivery deadlines. **Knowledge Requirements:** * Basic and advanced cooking techniques. * Hygienic food handling (NOM-251-SSA1-2009). * Waste control and inventory management. * Food preparation for buffet and à la carte service. **Working Conditions:** * Standing throughout the work shift. * Exposure to heat and kitchen equipment. * Rotating shifts (including weekends and holidays).
