Support purchasing planning and cost optimization. **Position:** Purchasing Assistant **Department:** Procurement / Supply Chain **Position Objective** Ensure timely supply of materials, supplies, equipment, and services for construction projects, guaranteeing quality, competitive cost, and schedule compliance according to the construction program. **Duties and Responsibilities** · Manage procurement of construction materials (steel, cement, aggregates, finishes, electrical, plumbing, etc.). · Request, compare, and analyze supplier quotations. · Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery times, and warranties. · Issue purchase orders aligned with budget and project requirements. · Track purchase orders until delivery to warehouse or site. · Coordinate with site managers and superintendents. · Evaluate and develop reliable suppliers. · Verify that materials comply with technical specifications, regulatory standards, and project catalogs. · Compile and maintain procurement files (quotations, purchase orders). · Keep the supplier registry updated. · Support purchasing planning in accordance with the construction program. · Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization. · Comply with internal procurement policies and administrative controls. **Required Profile** Bachelor’s degree or engineering in: · Civil Engineering · Architecture · Business Administration · Logistics **Experience** · Minimum 1 year as a buyer in the construction sector. · Demonstrable experience in procurement of construction materials and services.
