**POSITION OBJECTIVE** Design, develop, coordinate, and implement energy storage system (BESS) and microgrid projects from the conceptual stage through to commissioning. Ensure technical quality, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency of installed systems, including their integration with renewable sources and electrical grids. **FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES** · Development of conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering for BESS systems (stand\-alone and PV-integrated) and hybrid microgrids. · Preparation of electrical, thermal, and storage capacity calculation reports, considering factors such as charge/discharge cycles, autonomy, and critical backup. · Design and execution of electrical schematics: single-line diagrams, control diagrams, energy management systems (EMS), and protection systems. · Technical and economic evaluation of BESS and microgrid solutions: load demand analysis, load profiles, energy modeling, and return on investment. · Coordination with suppliers of inverters, battery banks, control systems, and SCADA/EMS monitoring systems. · On-site technical supervision: installation, wiring, functional testing, commissioning, and performance validation. · Active participation in commissioning tests: grid synchronization, operation modes (island/grid), controller programming, and communication protocols. · Preparation of executive reports, as\-built drawings, operating manuals, technical data sheets, and final project documentation. · Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (NOM, IEC, NEC, IEEE, UL) in coordination with safety and quality departments. · Technical training for clients and internal personnel on BESS and microgrid system operation. **TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE** * Electrical design in LV and MV. * Proficiency in AutoCAD, advanced Excel, and electrical or energy simulation software (PVsyst, HOMER, ETAP, Helioscope). * Standards: NOM\-001\-SEDE, NEC, IEEE 1547, UL 9540A, IEC 62933\. * Communication protocols: Modbus, CAN, RS485, TCP/IP. * Interpretation of performance curves, efficiency, and thermal analysis of BESS. **POSITION REQUIREMENTS** · Minimum required education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. Must be a graduate (mandatory). · Work experience: Minimum of 3 years verifiable experience in BESS projects (residential, commercial, industrial, or utility scale). · Technical skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and solar design tools.
