We are looking for a **Fullstack Software Engineer – L3** to design, develop, and operate scalable services that enable multiple teams to efficiently build on top of Wayfair’s platform. This role involves end\-to\-end ownership of small to medium\-sized features, close collaboration with cross\-functional teams, and direct impact on a high\-scale e\-commerce advertising platform. Responsibilities * Design, develop, and operate scalable, reliable services. * Own small to medium\-sized features end\-to\-end, from design through deployment. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to deliver integrations and improve system interoperability. * Apply strong debugging and troubleshooting skills to ensure system performance and reliability. * Contribute to technical and process documentation to support continuous improvement. * Design APIs using **Java and GraphQL**, and build backend services that power Wayfair’s advertising platforms. * Build real\-time data pipelines using **Kafka, Aerospike, and Elasticsearch** as a foundation for the Advertising team. * Design and develop frontend applications using **JavaScript and React** for various stakeholders. * Participate in on\-call rotations and provide production support, including during promotional events. * Provide clear visibility into the technical and operational health of the platform using tools such as **DataDog and Grafana**. * Perform high\-quality code and technical design reviews. * Translate e\-commerce business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Requirements * **8\+ years of experience** in software engineering, with exposure to fullstack or backend systems. * Strong fundamentals in **algorithms, data structures, and system design**. * Production experience with **Java** or similar backend languages. * Familiarity with **cloud\-native architectures**, containers (**Docker, Kubernetes**), and **CI/CD pipelines**. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams. Nice to Have * Experience in e\-commerce or digital advertising platforms. * Background working with high\-scale, low\-latency systems.
