***Hotel El Ejecutivo is seeking*** **COOK** **Position Objective:** Prepare food in accordance with the hotel's established quality, presentation, and hygiene standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with food safety regulations. **Main Responsibilities:** * Prepare and cook food according to established menus and hotel standards. * Follow established recipes and procedures to ensure dish consistency. * Verify that ingredients are fresh and in good condition. * Assist in plating and presenting dishes for à la carte service, buffet, or events. * Maintain order and cleanliness at the workstation in compliance with hygiene standards (Distintivo H). * Comply with food quality and safety controls. * Receive and store supplies appropriately. * Report incidents to the Chef. * Support training of assistants or new hires, if assigned. * Follow safety protocols when using kitchen utensils and equipment. **Requirements:** **Education:** * Completed junior high school (minimum) * Preferred: Technical degree in Gastronomy or Culinary Arts **Experience:** * 1–2 years in professional kitchens, preferably in hospitality or high-volume restaurants **Knowledge:** * Basic cooking techniques (cold and hot) * Hygienic handling of food (Distintivo H or equivalent) * Dish presentation and portioning * Operation of industrial kitchen equipment **Skills and Competencies:** * Teamwork * Organization * Sense of urgency * Attention to detail * Stress tolerance * Responsibility and punctuality Employment Type: Indefinite-term position Salary: Up to $9,876.00 per month Benefits: * Employee discount * Dining room service Work Location: On-site employment
