**General Mechanic Assistant – Heavy Machinery** Location: Tulancingo, Hidalgo **Job Description** We are seeking a General Mechanic Assistant to support in the maintenance of heavy machinery and high-capacity diesel engines (IEXGR, X15, Detroit, EGR, Series 60 EGR). We are looking for a responsible, committed individual with genuine interest in developing within the mechanical field. **Main Responsibilities** * Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of diesel engines on heavy machinery. * Collaborate in bearing, brake, and internal engine component inspections. * Assist in oil changes, filter cleaning, and sealing operations. * Support disassembly, assembly, and diagnosis of mechanical failures under supervision of the lead mechanic. * Verify and maintain tools and materials in the work area in proper order. * Comply with safety regulations and workshop procedures. **Profile Requirements** * Education: Secondary school or high school diploma (preferably with technical training or practical knowledge in automotive or diesel mechanics). * Desired experience: In heavy machinery workshops, industrial engines, or freight transportation. **Basic Knowledge in:** * Maintenance and repair of diesel engines (IEXGR, X15, Detroit, EGR, Series 60 EGR). * Oil and filter replacement. * Sealing and part adjustment. * Bearing, brake, and basic hydraulic system inspection. **Personal Competencies** * Proactive and willing to learn. * Responsible, punctual, and quality-oriented. * Ability to follow technical instructions. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Flexible availability and service-oriented attitude. **Working Conditions** * Location: Specialized workshop in Tulancingo, Hidalgo. * Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 hrs, Saturdays from 9:00 to 14:00 hrs. * Employment type: On-site, full-time. * Net weekly salary: Between $2,162 and $3,308, depending on experience and skills. **Benefits** * IMSS affiliation. * Statutory benefits. * Technical training in diesel engines and heavy machinery. * Opportunity for professional development within the workshop.
