At Outokumpu, the world leader in stainless steel, we are looking for an Engineer for the position of **Second Rolling Engineer** to join our dynamic Operations team at our San Luis Potosí plant in Mexico. **Objective:** As part of the crew, you will be responsible for reducing material thickness to meet customer requirements. ***This position rotates across all three shifts.*** **Objective:** Ensure the final product meets quality and thickness, elasticity, brightness, and flatness specifications per customer requirements. **Education and Experience:** * \> 2 years of experience in operational production processes. * Completed engineering degree (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics) or related engineering field. * Prior experience using problem-solving methodologies and tools such as Lean Six Sigma or similar. * Demonstrable experience analyzing and solving problems during production processes. * Understanding of industrial safety standards. * Capable of lifting 15–40 kg jointly with another person. Available to rotate across all three shifts. **Skills and Competencies:** * Communication and cross-functional teamwork skills. * Attention to detail and adherence to specifications. * Ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions. * Time management and goal orientation toward production targets and continuous performance improvement. **Responsibilities:** * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures. * Actively participate in manufacturing excellence and reliability initiatives. * Submit reports on time to ensure timely and accurate information.
