About the Position: Conducts hazard identification and risk assessments, as well as environmental aspect and impact determinations. Develops and controls applicable EHS documentation. Establishes programs and objectives for the EHS Management System. Conducts occupational safety and health inspections and internal audits. Develops and implements EHS training programs. Participates in supplier selection for matters related to the EHS system. Develops and monitors employee safety and environmental plans for compliance. Actively participates in EHS, health, and wellness prevention and promotion activities. Implements MASS programs per customer guidelines and current safety and environmental regulations to ensure operational processes are clean and safe. Implements emergency response team programs and drills to ensure personnel respond efficiently during emergencies. Conducts audits across various work areas to identify unsafe acts and conditions, and environmental impacts, correcting them promptly. Verifies application of standards, rules, regulations, and procedures in operational and administrative areas to minimize accidents, incidents, and environmental impacts. Verifies implementation of recommendations arising from accident investigations and the Safety and Hygiene Committee to prevent recurrence of accidents and environmental impacts due to the same cause. Promotes activities that foster motivation, teamwork, and staff development within a work environment supporting continuous improvement, productivity, and adherence to institutional values. Tracks corporate client and Sandvik safety programs focused on injury prevention, personnel damage mitigation, and high-potential and critical-risk activities. Conducts incident investigations using methodologies (e.g., Ishikawa, What-if, 5W\+1H, Decision Tree, ACR, ICAM, etc.). Develops risk and process mapping. Prepares/coordinating industrial hygiene studies per regulatory requirements. Your Profile: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Medicine, or related fields. 2 years of experience in mining, metal-mechanical, or manufacturing industries. Experience participating in certification and recertification processes for international standards. Knowledge of and ability to apply local, state, and federal EHS regulations in Mexico. Development and implementation of work instructions, procedures, regulations, policies, etc. Design, development, and delivery of training courses. Basic level of English proficiency. High capacity for working away from home.
