Construction progress monitoring and critical path determination **Join the GE Construcciones team!** VACANCY: COST AND UNIT PRICE ANALYST FOR A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY **JOB OBJECTIVE:** Analyze unit prices for budget preparation, incorporating direct costs, indirect costs, profit margin, and financing. Prepare technical and economic files for tenders and bidding processes. Schedule construction works and monitor actual progress versus planned schedule, determine the critical path, and ensure project profitability and viability. **GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:** * **Academic level:** Bachelor's degree * **Relevant field of study:** Civil Engineering or Architecture * **Gender:** Not specified * **Experience:** Minimum 5 years in construction unit price analysis * **Age:** 30 years and older **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:** * Legislation and regulations applicable to construction * Experience in site visits and budget preparation * Proficiency in labor productivity rates (MO), cost escalation factors (FSR), and market prices for materials, equipment, and tools * Analysis and validation of cost matrices in OPUS * Preparation of parametric, detailed, and unit-cost budgets * Development and integration of technical-economic proposals for tenders and bidding processes * Interpretation of architectural, structural, and electrical drawings in AutoCAD for accurate budget preparation **RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:** * Prepare budgets based on site visits, proposing construction solutions, materials, and furnishings * Prepare budgets from drawings, specifying materials, solutions, and furnishings * Analyze and review item catalogs, cost matrices, and productivity rates for labor, materials, and equipment * Validate market prices for materials, tools, and equipment * Perform work generators and quantity take-offs * Schedule construction execution, establishing the critical path and cash flow * Prepare material, labor, machinery, and equipment supply schedules * Conduct supplier and contractor quotation tracking and comparative analysis **SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:** * Analytical and numerical skills * Focus on profitability and cost optimization * Commitment to continuous improvement * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively * Proficiency in drafting documents and presentations * Responsibility and organizational skills * Teamwork **REQUIRED SOFTWARE:** * Opus (Mandatory) * AutoCAD (Mandatory) * Microsoft Office (especially Excel) (Mandatory) * Revit (Desirable) * Microsoft Project (Desirable) Employment type: Full-time Salary: $14,000.00 - $16,000.00 per month Work location: On-site employment
