WE ARE LOOKING FOR STAFF WHO SEEK TO DEVELOP THEIR WORKPLACE KNOWLEDGE WITHIN THE COMPANY, AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL GROWTH. * **DIESEL MECHANIC** **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * **Diagnose faults:** Identify problems in the engine, transmission, electrical systems, and other components using tests and diagnostic tools. * **Repair and maintenance:** Perform emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and routine repairs on diesel engines, including fuel injection systems, exhaust systems, and cooling systems. * **Replace parts:** Replace damaged or worn components such as filters, belts, hoses, and others. * **Adjustments and calibration:** Make adjustments and calibrations of components to ensure proper operation of the engine and other systems. * **Supervision and training:** In some cases, supervise the work of other mechanics and provide training on diesel engine maintenance and repair. REQUIREMENTS * HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA; TECHNICAL TRAINING PREFERRED * PROVEN EXPERIENCE AS A DIESEL MECHANIC, WITH SOLID KNOWLEDGE OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS. * PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN A SUPERVISORY OR LEADERSHIP ROLE, PREFERABLY IN A WORKSHOP ENVIRONMENT. * VALID DRIVING LICENSE * FLEXIBLE AVAILABILITY * FAMILIARITY WITH WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS. **Key skills for a Diesel Mechanic:** * **Technical knowledge:** In-depth understanding of diesel engine mechanics, electrical and electronic systems. * **Manual skills:** Ability to use tools and diagnostic equipment, perform repairs, and replace parts. * **Communication skills:** Ability to communicate with customers and other professionals, explain problems and solutions. * **Problem-solving skills:** Ability to diagnose issues, determine causes, and find appropriate solutions.
