





PROJECT ESTIMATOR. NERXER is looking for a project estimator to work on an ASIPONA Veracruz project; our work is related to the creation and rehabilitation of electrical substations. * **Education:** A bachelor's degree in construction-related fields such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture is generally required. * **Experience:** Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar role is valued. Professional certification, such as *Certified Professional Estimator (CPE)*, may be an advantage. Experience in electrical projects or with CFE is a plus. **Project analysis:** Carefully review and analyze blueprints, specifications, contracts, and other project documentation to understand the scope of work, requirements, and key variables. * **Cost calculation:** Accurately estimate labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and other project-related costs. This includes quantifying all elements necessary for the project. * **Market research:** Stay updated on current material and equipment prices, as well as labor costs and subcontractor rates in the market. * **Proposal preparation:** Develop and present detailed and transparent estimation reports or proposals to project managers, clients, or for bidding purposes. * **Relationship management:** Obtain and review quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, and establish and maintain strong relationships with them. * **Risk analysis:** Identify and assess potential risks that could affect the project budget and schedule. * **Collaboration:** Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and other professionals to ensure estimation accuracy and project feasibility. * **Adjustment and tracking:** Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary to reflect changes or unforeseen circumstances. **Required skills and competencies** * **Mathematical and analytical skills:** Strong numerical ability and an analytical mindset are essential for performing complex calculations and handling large amounts of data. * **Attention to detail:** Precision is crucial. An estimator must be methodical and rigorous to avoid errors that could significantly impact the budget. * **Technical knowledge:** In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations, and building codes. Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications. * **Software proficiency:** Mastery of cost estimation software (such as Timberline, HCSS HeavyBid, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, etc.) and spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel. * **Communication and negotiation skills:** Ability to clearly and effectively communicate estimation results both verbally and in writing. Also important for negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors. * **Organization and time management:** Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. * **Proactivity:** Initiative to independently research, solve problems, and seek information.
