DESCRIPTION **PROJECT MATERIALS ENGINEER** --------------------------------------- At EOSOL we are looking for a Project Materials Engineer who can manage and control the complete lifecycle of **construction materials and industrial equipment** associated with chemical sector projects, from **coding, entry, and storage** to **final disposition**, ensuring traceability, quality, availability, and compliance with technical, logistical, and safety standards established by the company. ### **Main Responsibilities** #### **A. Materials Management and Project Logistics** * Manage the project's **materials lifecycle** (receiving, recording, storage, delivery, and final disposal). * Coordinate **procurement and inventory control** of electrical, mechanical, civil, and process materials. * Manage **material traceability** using SAP (MM / PM / PS modules), ensuring consistency between engineering, warehouse, and site operations. * Verify **technical and documentary compliance** of materials against drawings, specifications, and quality standards. * Monitor and report on **physical progress and material consumption** at site. #### **B. Material Coding and Standardization** * Develop and maintain the **master materials catalog**, applying coding criteria, technical descriptions, and classification according to internal standards. * Ensure proper linkage of **SAP codes with drawings, material lists (BOMs), and purchase orders**. * Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams the **creation and validation of new codes** in the SAP system. * Establish **technical and quality criteria** for material and supplier qualification. #### **C. Technical Coordination with Manufacturers and Contractors** * Maintain direct communication with **manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors**, ensuring correct material specification and delivery. * Support the **review of technical data sheets, quality certificates, and fabrication drawings**. * Manage **non-conformities** of materials and coordinate returns, replacements, or special dispositions. * Participate in **technical inspections at factory or site**, together with the QA/QC department. #### **D. Process and Documentation Control** * Prepare and maintain **material control reports**, records of receipt, dispatch, and final disposal. * Implement procedures to **optimize material flow**, avoiding overstocking or critical shortages. * Ensure compliance with **health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies** in material handling. * Collaborate in **internal and external audits** related to materials management and supply. ### **Key Competencies** * **Technical and logistical management of industrial materials**. * **Proficiency in SAP (MM, PM, or PS modules)**. * Analytical skills, attention to detail, and document traceability. * Effective communication with engineering, procurement, and site teams. * Organization, planning, and ability to work under pressure. * Focus on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. ### **Job Requirements** * **Education:** Degree in Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. * **Experience:** Minimum 4–6 years in **materials and supplies management for industrial or chemical sector projects**. * **Technical knowledge:** * SAP (MM module, material handling, stock, orders, and reporting). * Inventory control, material coding, and logistics. * Technical specifications of construction and industrial installation materials. * Procedures for receiving, storing, dispatching, and final disposal of materials. * Applicable regulations for industrial safety and handling of chemical materials. * **Desirable competencies:** * Intermediate/advanced technical English. * Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001\) and environmental management (ISO 14001\). * Experience in **coordination with international manufacturers** and EPC construction companies.
