**Naval Pilot Career Department Head** **Profile.** Graduate professional of the Naval Pilot program from one of the Merchant Marine Schools, responsible for leading the Naval Pilot Career Department, establishing controls to ensure compliance with established norms, policies, and procedures for academic activities. Master's degree desirable. **Functions and Activities.** * Develop the annual work program and related activities of the Deck Career Department. * Establish controls to verify compliance with established norms, policies, and procedures for academic activities. * Monitor the implementation of the Bachelor’s in Naval Pilot study plans and programs, as well as courses taught to students in the Training area, to maintain the educational quality standards set by the institution. * Prepare and review the annual budget and investment proposal according to the materials, infrastructure, and equipment needs required by the department to fulfill established educational plans and programs. * Review and supervise the preparation of academic reports submitted to the school’s management and those requested by higher authorities to assess the progress of the established Naval Pilot program. * Evaluate programmatic progress to determine the effectiveness of teaching-learning processes and measure the level of academic achievement in delivering lectures and courses to Bachelor’s in Naval Pilot students. * Inspect class attendance of teaching staff under supervision to ensure compliance with the established programs and study plans for the Naval Pilot career. * Verify the application and follow-up of disciplinary provisions outlined in the Internal Regulations of the Merchant Marine Schools, and instill in students principles and values that support their comprehensive professional development as future officers of the National Merchant Navy. * Prepare reports requested by central departments of the Trust to assist in fulfilling requests from regulatory and oversight agencies directed at the entity. * Conduct annual performance evaluations of subordinate personnel based on established guidelines. * Propose training for staff according to institutional needs and professional development requirements to promote continuous improvement, considering contributions to institutional goals and objectives, job functions, and public servant development requirements. * Support the Human Resources and Financial Departments in compiling and monitoring service provider contracting procedures (direct award, invitation to at least three, and public bidding) for departmental support; likewise, manage executed contracts in accordance with applicable legislation. * Address and follow up on information requests arising from audits conducted by oversight entities, coordinating sector authorities, the Superior Audit Office of the Federation, and regulatory bodies, related to the responsibilities and information generated by the Deck Career Department. * Perform additional duties inherent to the position as expressly assigned by immediate supervisors, the School Management, the Directorate of Nautical Education, the Directorate of Administration and Finance, or the General Directorate, and those established in other applicable legal instruments. **Requirements.** * **Academic Level:** Graduate of the Bachelor's in Naval Pilot program. * **Academic Status:** Must be certified, preferably holding a Professional License; Master's degree desirable. **Experience:** * Prior experience as an instructor or course facilitator (desirable). * Experience in organizational skills, personnel management, strong leadership, organizational ability, and communication skills (required). **Schedule and General Information.** * Full-time * Statutory benefits * Gross monthly salary: $26,005.00 * Positions available: 1 * Vacancy located at the Veracruz Merchant Marine School. * Email for applications: **reclutamientoenmv@fidena.gob.mx and mamendoza@fidena.edu.mx.** * ·Valid until October 14, 2025 **Send an email expressing your interest in the position, including the job title, along with your CV, proof of education, INE, and latest IMSS registration notice.** Type of position: Full-time Salary: $26,005.00 per month Education: * Completed Bachelor's degree (desirable) Workplace: On-site
