Covia is seeking a **Mine Superintendent** who will have a positive impact on the **Operations** team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead mine operations activities in accordance with internal procedures to ensure operational continuity and maximize mineral reserves. **The selected candidate for this position will have the following key responsibilities:** * Monitor production indicators to detect potential failures and establish action plans to prevent production delays or stoppages. * Identify medium- and long-term production and mining area requirements to inform management and enable timely actions to meet future market demands. * Supervise monthly execution of the mining plan in alignment with the production plan. * Lead proper operation of the processing plant and mine production processes to ensure production and shipment programs meet quality, quantity, and timeliness requirements. * Identify critical inputs and consumption requirements in production areas. * Identify maintenance needs for heavy mobile equipment. * Design and implement mining activities in compliance with applicable environmental regulations. * Participate in the operation’s continuous improvement program. * Identify training and development needs for mine personnel. * Prepare the weekly narrative operations report for the plant. * Develop and maintain the production process document based on internal policies to identify process improvement opportunities, and integrate findings into the plant’s annual process evaluation report. To ensure established KPIs are executed, achieved, measured, and communicated to support the continuous improvement process**, the selected candidate for this position must possess the following profile:** **Certifications and Experience:** * Mining Engineer, Metallurgist, Geologist, or related field. (Degree required) * Minimum 5 years of experience in supervisory roles. **Knowledge and Skills:** * Knowledge of mining engineering, minerals, explosives (optional), and geology. * Advanced English (preferred). **Willingness to Travel:** * Occasional travel to other units. **Benefits:** * Benefits exceeding Mexican legal requirements. * Performance bonus. * Additional social security benefits.
