Position Summary: This position seeks a specialized technical interpreter to ensure effective communication and accurate understanding of instructions in Oil & Gas operations, guaranteeing safety and operational continuity. Key Highlights: 1. Interpret English-Spanish during technical trainings. 2. Facilitate real-time communication in the field/workshop. 3. Translate and adapt technical documentation. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** Ensure clear, real-time technical communication between the specialist trainer and operational personnel through specialized interpretation that guarantees accurate understanding of instructions and protocols, thereby contributing to safety, operational continuity, and compliance with standards. **JOB FUNCTIONS:** * Interpret (simultaneously and consecutively) English–Spanish during theoretical and practical trainings, ensuring accurate technical transmission. * Facilitate real-time communication between the specialist and operational personnel in the field/workshop. * Translate and adapt technical documentation (manuals, SOPs, safety data sheets). * Ensure comprehension of instructions by validating clarity before execution. * Timely communicate risks, warnings, and safety protocols. * Verify terminology, units, and critical parameters to prevent errors. * Prevent and correct misunderstandings that may pose operational risks. * Support standardization of technical language. * Comply with Safety, Health, Environment, QHSE, and ISMS guidelines. * Provide additional support aligned with the candidate’s profile and current regulations. **REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL:** * Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpretation or Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Industrial, or related), with bilingual English–Spanish proficiency. **SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:** * Knowledge of bottom-hole assembly (BHA) tools (Drill Bits, Jars, Mud Motors, Fishing Tools, Reamers). * Knowledge of drilling operations (Make\-up/Break\-out, Tripping in/out, WOB, RPM, circulation). * Knowledge of field safety standards (JSA, Tool Box Talks, PPE, LOTO). **LANGUAGES:** * **Advanced English (technical\-operational level, mandatory)** * **Spanish** **EXPERIENCE:** * Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the Oil \& Gas industry, specifically in drilling operations, well completion, and/or downhole tool services.
