**Safety, Hygiene and Ecology Intern** **Requirements**: * Active student status * Major in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field * Intermediate English (desirable) * On-site modality ***Project 1 \- Analysis of Chemical Incompatibility and Management of Hazardous Waste According to NOM\-054\-SEMARNAT\-1993*** **Objective**: * Support compliance with NOM\-054\-SEMARNAT\-1993 by identifying and safely managing incompatible chemical substances, preventing dangerous reactions that could cause accidents, spills, or environmental contamination. **Activities:** Support in project development and related activities such as: * Support in studying NOM\-054\-SEMARNAT\-1993 and its requirements regarding chemical incompatibility. * Inventory and classification of chemical substances, including review of safety data sheets. * Support in risk analysis due to incompatibility and potential consequences. * Development of procedures and safe storage measures. * Proposal of physical separation and labeling to prevent dangerous interactions. * Support in training personnel on safe handling and chemical incompatibility. * Preparation of technical reports and final report with findings and improvement proposals. ***Project 2 \- Evaluation and Diagnosis of Occupational Safety and Health Conditions According to NOM\-030\-STPS\-2009*** **Objective**: * Provide support in the systematic evaluation of occupational safety and health conditions, strengthening prevention culture through risk analysis, identification of unsafe conditions, and implementation of corrective actions, in compliance with NOM\-030\-STPS\-2009\. **Activities:** Support in project development and related activities such as: * Study of NOM\-030\-STPS\-2009 to understand guidelines and obligations. * Review of initial safety and health diagnosis to identify areas for improvement. * Support in developing a regulatory compliance matrix. * Internal inspections and field walkthroughs. * Identification and assessment of occupational risks. * Support in updating the Occupational Safety and Health Program. * Preparation of final report with findings, compliance status, and improvement proposals. **Knowledge:** * Basic STPS regulations. * Basic environmental regulations. * Proficiency in spreadsheets and analysis tools (Excel, environmental management software) * Ability to write reports.
