DESCRIPTION **Safety, Health and Environment Supervisor (SSMA)** ---------------------------------------------------------- At EOSOL, we are looking for a Safety, Health and Environment Supervisor (SSMA) with experience in implementing, supervising, and monitoring the compliance of **safety, occupational health, and environmental procedures (SSMA)** within a project or plant, ensuring the **prevention of incidents**, **legal and regulatory compliance (STPS, OHSAS, NOMs)**, and the **protection of people, facilities, and the environment**. ### **Main Responsibilities** #### **A. Industrial Safety and Occupational Health** * Supervise the **compliance with SSMA policies and procedures** in all construction, operation, or maintenance activities. * Implement and verify the application of **safety and occupational health programs** established by the company and client. * Conduct **field inspections, audits, and preventive observations**, promoting a safety culture among workers and contractors. * Actively participate in **safety inductions, training sessions, drills, and risk analysis meetings**. * Apply **risk analysis techniques for critical tasks (AST, PETAR, work permits)**. #### **B. Environmental Management** * Ensure compliance with current **environmental legislation** and organizational environmental policies. * Monitor **waste management, emissions, discharges, and spill control** according to applicable regulations. * Support the preparation of **environmental reports and environmental management plans** required by authorities or clients. * Promote sustainable practices for **reduction, reuse, and recycling of materials**. #### **C. Incident Investigation and Control** * Apply **incident and accident investigation techniques** to identify root causes and establish corrective and preventive actions. * Prepare **incident, observation, and deviation reports** according to corporate and client formats (Braskem Idesa). * Monitor the timely implementation and closure of **actions arising from SSMA investigations or audits**. #### **D. Monitoring, Measurement, and Control** * Operate and record measurements using **industrial safety equipment**, such as **multi-gas detectors, TGBH meters, luxmeters, sound level meters, among others**. * Verify **environmental and safety conditions in critical areas** before starting activities. * Ensure the proper use, calibration, and maintenance of **risk measurement instruments**. #### **E. Reporting, Documentation, and Coordination** * Prepare **daily and weekly SSMA reports**, including performance indicators, observations, and preventive actions. * Coordinate responses to **internal and external audits**, as well as visits from clients or authorities (STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA). * Manage documentation related to **work permits, training records, inspections, and environmental monitoring**. * Report to the client (Braskem Idesa) on the results and evidence of SSMA system compliance. ### **Key Competencies** * Technical and regulatory knowledge of **STPS, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001**, and **Mexican environmental legislation**. * Analytical ability, leadership, and **decision-making skills in the field**. * Skills in **incident investigation and risk management**. * Excellent communication with contractors, clients, and authorities. * Intermediate proficiency in **Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)**. * Commitment to **safety, ethics, and continuous improvement**. ### **Job Requirements** * **Education:** Degree in Industrial, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or related field. * **Experience:** Minimum of **3 verifiable years** in **Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, or Environmental Management** within chemical, petrochemical, or industrial construction projects. * **Technical Knowledge:** * STPS regulations and applicable Mexican Official Standards (NOM-004-STPS, NOM-005-STPS, NOM-009-STPS, etc.). * Safety and health management systems (OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001). * **Accident investigation techniques** (root cause analysis, fault tree analysis, etc.). * Operation of **measurement equipment**: multi-gas detectors, TGBH meters, luxmeters, sound level meters, oxygen meters, among others. * **Tools:** Intermediate knowledge of **Microsoft Office** (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * **Desirable Certifications:** * First aid and emergency response. * Handling of hazardous chemicals. * Certification in incident investigation or industrial safety (STPS).
