Provide financial insights to plant and corporate leadership **Summary** Core Molding Technologies is hiring an **Assistant Controller** to support financial operations at our Matamoros manufacturing plant. In this role, you’ll help ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support plant leadership with timely, actionable financial insights. You’ll work closely with Accounting, Operations, and Corporate Finance to manage day\-to\-day accounting activities, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. **Responsibilities** * Support preparation of **monthly financial statements and reports** * Oversee **accounting records, reconciliations, and transaction accuracy** * Assist in **month\-end and year\-end close processes** * Monitor and analyze **costs, expenses, and budgets** * Support **accounts receivable and accounts payable** processes * Ensure compliance with **Mexican accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements** * Collaborate with **internal and external audits** * Identify financial discrepancies and support corrective actions * Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date accounting records * Provide financial insights and reporting to plant and corporate leadership * Support **internal controls (SOX) and process improvements** * Ensure confidentiality of financial and business information **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or CPA equivalent * 5\+ years of experience in accounting or finance within a manufacturing environment *or* 1\+ year of experience as a Plant Controller * Strong knowledge of: + Accounts Payable / Receivable + Cost Accounting and Financial Analysis + General Ledger and Payroll + Tax and statutory accounting (Mexico) + Import/Export regulations (US/Mexico) * Advanced English proficiency (bilingual required) * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving skills * Ability to work cross\-functionally and communicate across all levels **Preferred** * Experience in **maquiladora environments** * Exposure to **US GAAP and cost accounting practices** * ERP system experience **Job Details** * **Schedule:** Monday to Friday * **Travel:** Limited * **Work Environment:** Manufacturing plant \+ office * **Physical Requirements:** Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs **Why Join Us** * Competitive compensation and benefits * Opportunity to support plant and corporate leadership * Exposure to cross\-border (US/MX) financial operations * Culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability **Recruiters** We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third\-party agencies.
