**Job Description** * Responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting robust and consistent environmental stewardship program strategies aligned with GM’s mission to deliver sustainable solutions that improve the communities in which we live and work. * Develop, implement, and maintain environmental strategies focused on air permits, emissions control, and regulatory compliance. * Lead risk assessments and mitigation plans for environmental liabilities, including hazardous materials, spills, and operational impacts. * Manage chemical inventories, regulatory reporting in alignment with SEMARNAT and internal protocols. * Support and coordinate environmental aspects of new projects, including impact evaluations and permit acquisition. * Ensure readiness and response for internal and external audits (ISO 14001, legal compliance, corporate standards). * Key engagement with plant management and employees, FAMs, regulatory agencies, internal and external community leaders, legal staff, GM and external audit services, utility service providers, and chemical/resource management business partners.
