




Summary: This role involves classifying merchandise according to customs regulations, interfacing with customers on customs issues, and providing administrative and clerical support. Highlights: 1. Classify merchandise according to customs government regulations and duty rates. 2. Interface with customers on customs related issues. 3. Provide administrative and clerical support to Manager. To classify merchandise according with customs government regulations, restrictions, and import/export duty rates. Performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties requiring direct and indirect customer interface. Classify merchandise according with customs government duty rates. Fills entry forms depending on the commodity. Interface with customers on customs related issues. Types or otherwise prepares various operations reports. Maintains and audits all records and files as assigned. Provides administrative and clerical support to Manager. If necessary, helps to lift and move packages within bonded area. Bachelor’s degree/equivalent preferred. Previous clerical or customer service experience in a service environment. 24 months experience on customs clearance broker activities. Advanced knowledge on import and export duty rates. Average general office skills required including light typing, filing, and computer literacy. Good communication and human relations skills. Ability to lift 75lbs and to maneuver any single package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment. Clean cut and neat appearance.
