**Job Profile\-Quality Inspector** **Position Objective** Ensure that the bananas produced meet the quality standards required by the company, international certifications (such as GlobalG.A.P., Rainforest Alliance, etc.), and customer or destination market requirements (for example, the United States or Europe), guaranteeing compliance with processes from field to packing. **Functions and Responsibilities** * **Field Inspection:** * Verify compliance with good agricultural practices (GAP). * Assess the phytosanitary condition of plants (pests, diseases, etc.). * Record data on flowering, shoots, and bunches. * **Harvesting and Selection:** * Supervise the appropriate timing for bunch cutting. * Ensure compliance with size specifications and ripeness levels. * **Packing Center:** * Inspect washing, disinfection, and packing procedures. * Verify material cleanliness and hygienic conditions. * Check fruit quality: size, shape, color, absence of defects. * **Documentation and Records:** * Complete inspection and non-conformance forms. * Report incidents to the quality manager. * Verify traceability and batch coding. * **Audits and Certifications:** * Assist in internal and external audits. * Verify compliance with standards such as GlobalG.A.P., Rainforest Alliance, ISO 22000\. * **Training and Improvement:** * Participate in technical training sessions. * Propose improvements to minimize waste or rejections. **Ideal Candidate Profile:** **Education:** * Agricultural or agro-industrial technician or related field. * Desired: food safety courses, GMP, GlobalG.A.P., HACCP. **Experience:** * Minimum 1–2 years in similar roles on banana plantations. * Practical knowledge of harvesting and packing processes. **Technical Knowledge:** * Food quality and safety standards. * Fruit grading and market-specific standards. * Basic Excel and inspection form handling. **Competencies:** * Attention to detail * Ethics and reliability * Analytical observation * Teamwork and effective communication * Conflict management when addressing non-conformities * Aligned with Chanitos' 7 values * Aligned with Chanitos' 7 competencies. **INTERESTED?** **jespinosa@chanitos.com** Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $14,000\.00 \- $16,000\.00 per month Benefits: * Company parking * Eligibility for indefinite contract * Free uniforms Experience: * Quality control: 2 years (Required) Work Location: On-site position
