Summary The Standard is seeking a dynamic leader to become the Engineering Director at The Standard, Mexico City, scheduled to open in summer 2026 in the Tabacalera neighborhood. With 206 rooms and 27 branded residences, this new opening marks our first hotel in Latin America—featuring a rooftop pool, multiple bar and restaurant concepts, a world-class spa, meeting spaces, and more. The Engineering Director will manage the human and material resources of their department to ensure the availability, presentation, and proper maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment, control systems, and hotel guestrooms, guaranteeing service quality and operational readiness of all property assets. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field. * Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles within lifestyle hospitality. * Prior experience in pre-openings or openings of lifestyle hotels. * Familiarity with safety regulations, fire codes, and environmental standards. * Excellent leadership skills. * Bilingual in Spanish and English
