




Head of Engineering and Operations for a Small Enterprise. **Reports to:** General Manager **Areas under responsibility:** Production, Projects, Processes, Design, Procurement, and Maintenance. General Job Objective Plan, direct, and coordinate the company’s technical and operational activities to ensure process efficiency, product/service quality, and optimal resource utilization. Ensure daily operations meet deadlines, cost targets, and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities **Engineering and Project Management** * **Design:** Supervise the design of new products, processes, or facilities, ensuring technical and economic feasibility. * **Project Management:** Develop and monitor capital investment budgets (machinery, infrastructure, technology). * **Standardization:** Define and maintain up-to-date technical manuals, engineering drawings, and product specifications. * **Innovation:** Research new technologies or methodologies to enhance the company’s competitiveness. **Operations and Production Management** * **Planning:** Coordinate the master production or service execution plan to meet customer demand. * **Efficiency:** Implement continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste, downtime, and operating costs. * **Maintenance:** Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance plans for plant and equipment to ensure operational continuity. * **Supply Chain:** Collaborate with procurement and logistics to ensure the flow of materials required for operations. **Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance (EHS)** * Ensure compliance with all local and international industrial safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations. Profile Requirements **Academic Qualifications** * **Bachelor’s Degree:** Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field. * **Desirable:** Master of Business Administration (MBA). **Professional Experience** * Minimum **5 years** of experience in engineering, production, or maintenance roles. * Minimum **3 years** managing multidisciplinary teams. * Demonstrable experience in budget management and cost control. **Technical Skills (Hard Skills)** * **Software:** Proficiency in ERP (Alpha) and design software (Fusion 360, SketchUp). * **Methodologies:** Certification or in-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing. * **Regulatory Standards:** Familiarity with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001). Competencies and Soft Skills * **Leadership:** Ability to motivate technical and operational teams toward shared objectives. * **Analytical Thinking:** Skill in interpreting complex data (KPIs) and making fact-based decisions. * **Problem Solving:** Capacity to respond rapidly to critical failures or bottlenecks. * **Effective Communication:** Ability to translate complex technical terminology into business language for management.
