**Electrical Engineer** AREA INDUSTRIAL is an engineering and project management firm with a highly specialized team possessing extensive experience in the commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. **OBJECTIVE**: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development of engineering, calculations, design, and material list for the electrical discipline. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: * Engineering development and design. * Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the electrical discipline. * Produce all required electrical specifications and drawings. * Design electrical systems for industrial plants at medium and low voltage. * Perform calculations for power, lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and other electrical systems. * Size cables, conduits, and overcurrent protection devices for lighting applications. * Design cable tray and conduit routing. * Develop voltage drop calculations. * Calculate cable tray fill ratios. * Create precise electrical installation documents based on information extracted from supplier equipment drawings. * Determine substation and load center loading. * Specify equipment such as switchgear, load break switches, motor control centers, etc. * Perform short-circuit calculations and develop corresponding overcurrent protection schemes. **KNOWLEDGE**: * Electrical Installation Standards * AutoCAD 2D and 3D * ETAP, Visual, Sizer * SKM Power Tools (SKM A-Fault, SKM Captor, etc.) * MicroStation * Revit MEP * Preferred: PDS, PDMS **REQUIREMENTS**: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, or related field.
