Food and Beverage Captain responsible for supervising and maintaining exceptional food and beverage service, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimizing sales.

**Objective of the Food and Beverage Captain Position.**
Maintain and deliver food and beverage service that generates satisfaction, through an appropriate service sequence tailored to each restaurant’s needs—ensuring speed, efficiency, and courtesy—with the goal of maximizing both sales and customer/diner satisfaction, while meeting established sales budgets.
**Responsibilities and Functions.**
· Supervise food and beverage service at the restaurant or bar under your responsibility to ensure optimal operations that generate customer/diner satisfaction.
· Maintain an environment of cooperation and communication among restaurant or bar staff.
· Train newly hired staff.
· Conduct pre-service inspections of the restaurant according to your checklist, and monitor dish presentation in accordance with protocol prior to serving diners.
· Review the daily dashboard, logbook, reservations, and guest lists.
· Coordinate with the kitchen regarding potential shortages, service timing, and recommended dishes.
· Coordinate schedules, cleaning, group bookings, events, and possible reservations.
· Ensure service is delivered within timeframes aligned with hotel standards.
· Wait a reasonable amount of time before asking customers whether they wish to order.
· Remain constantly attentive to perform suggestive selling, thereby increasing and achieving income and average check targets.
· Verify restaurant cleanliness before, during, and after service, ensuring optimal cleanliness conditions upon closing.
· Submit requisitions based on shortages identified at service close, ensuring timely replenishment.
· Verify refrigerators and storage areas are properly closed and secured.
· Confirm all lights are fully turned off.
· Report any malfunctioning or faulty equipment to the Food and Beverage Manager for logging in the maintenance logbook, enabling follow-up until repairs are completed and confirming full operational readiness to Reception, among other primary duties.

* 2 years’ experience in the restaurant industry in this position (Preferred); strong customer service orientation.
