PURPOSE AND WORK IMPACT The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for the laboratory’s order and cleanliness program, and will support routine and repetitive evaluations of production processes and quality qualification of incoming raw materials. They will ensure that the Quality Department has the required supplies for testing manufactured products in accordance with established policies and procedures, under direct guidance and supervision, while adhering to all safety rules and regulations. In this role, they will operate and monitor the performance of supplies and release samples, as well as raw materials. They will prepare inventory control reports for supplies and release samples, and distribute them to appropriate team members. Key Responsibilities - Ensure implementation of the laboratory’s order and cleanliness program. - Support analysis and evaluation of raw materials to meet standards, including document verification and supplier verification against plant standards, with frequent guidance when required. - Collect and archive incoming raw material samples, and distribute them for testing at external laboratories aligned with the plant’s quality policy. - Manage laboratory supply inventory in alignment with required quality and analytical performance continuity. - Ensure inventory control of supplies and release samples. - Receive relevant training and documentation, such as procedures, standards, recommendations, and instructions, to perform general tasks in accordance with the plant’s quality policy. - Perform other assigned duties. Qualifications - Minimum age of 18 years - Completed high school or higher education - Experience using a computer - Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as Excel and Word - Ability to perform physical tasks safely—including bending, climbing up/down stairs, kneeling, squatting, or twisting—with or without reasonable accommodation - Ability to lift up to 25 kg with or without reasonable accommodation - Ability to work in elevated areas (1.20 m or higher) - Ability to work in various environments where noise, dust, chemicals, etc., may be present, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts, with prior notice - Prior experience in industrial processes or laboratory settings preferred - Prior experience with inventory systems preferred At Cargill, we promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout our processes!. -Requirements- Minimum Education: Upper Secondary Education – General High School Diploma years of experience Keywords: helper, assistant, auxiliary, aux, laboratory, lab technician
