Strengthen internal controls and support strategic decision-making **Job Objective:** The Financial Controller will be responsible for **leading the company’s accounting and finance function**, ensuring accurate multi-entity financial consolidation under IFRS and US GAAP standards, local and international tax compliance, audit management, and strengthening of internal controls—supporting strategic decision-making in a rapidly growing environment backed by institutional capital. **Responsibilities:** * Oversee **general and consolidated accounting** for entities in Mexico, the United States, and the Cayman Islands. * Prepare and submit **monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements** under IFRS and US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance. * Coordinate **external and internal audits**, ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and established timelines. * Design, implement, and reinforce **accounting, financial, and operational internal controls**. * Lead the implementation and optimization of the **ERP system** (preferably Odoo) from an accounting and reporting perspective. * Develop strategies for accounting efficiency and tax planning. * Manage relationships with accounting, tax, and audit firms. * Report **financial information** to investors and other key stakeholders. * Lead, train, and scale the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting, Finance, or related field** * Minimum **6 years of experience in finance roles** * **Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP** * Prior experience at a **Big Four firm (preferred)** * Experience managing **international structures** and financial consolidation * Experience in **external audit, regulatory reporting, and consolidated financial statements** * **Intermediate English proficiency** * **Advanced Excel skills** * ERP experience (preferably Odoo) **Soft Skills:** * Leadership * Analytical thinking * Working under pressure * Effective communication * Proactivity **Desirable / Plus Experience:** * Familiarity with the hospitality sector * CPA, ACCA, or IFRS certifications **Benefits** **Work Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm **Employment Modality:** Full-time, Hybrid, On-site **Salary:** $65,000 to $80,000 MXN gross monthly **Statutory Benefits** Position Type: Full-time Salary: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per month Benefits: * Salary increases * Sick days * Option for indefinite-term contract Work Location: On-site employment
