As a Computer-Aided Mechanical Designer (MIT CAD), you will be at the heart of our train design process—developing and integrating mechanical solutions within the Digital Mock-Up (DMU). You will collaborate across disciplines to bring concepts to life, from initial design through production support. Day-to-day, you will work closely with teams across the company (e.g., product development, quality assurance, maintenance, and manufacturing) in a collaborative and multicultural organizational ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include: * Designing and integrating mechanical installations in 3D * Performing pre\-dimensioning and interface definition * Creating and reviewing technical drawings and metadata * Conducting tolerance stack-up analysis and managing Space Allocation Models (SAM) * Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to ensure design feasibility * Supporting production teams and participating in First Article Inspections * Contributing to continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives We value passion and attitude over experience; therefore, we have listed some skills we believe will help you succeed and grow in this role: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. * Experience in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation (CATIA preferred) * Knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA or Teamcenter) * Experience in mechanical design (preferably in heavy industry or transportation) * Advanced English (able to engage in spoken technical conversations) * Attention to detail * Problem-solving and creativity * Adaptability and continuous learning You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
