**Telecommunications Infrastructure Installer Profile – Underground Installation Project** **Position:** Fiber optic cabling installer **Project Location:** University facilities **Work Mode:** Field / Operational **Overview:** The installer will be responsible for carrying out cable laying, installation, and commissioning activities for fiber optic cables in underground conduits within campuses. They must ensure proper handling of materials and compliance with the project's established technical and safety standards, guaranteeing network integrity and minimal disruption to institutional operations. **Main Responsibilities:** * Carry out the pulling and installation of fiber optic cables in underground ducts and manholes. * Install and secure protection components, closures, and splice enclosures. * Participate in the installation and connection to telecommunications rooms and distribution racks. * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards set by the university and the contracting company. * Coordinate with the site supervisor and technical manager to validate routes, lengths, and procedures before each intervention. * Report progress, incidents, and site conditions daily. **Minimum Requirements:** * Education: High school / Preparatory school (preferred). * Minimum of 1 **year of experience in underground fiber optic network installation**. * Knowledge of **duct installation, manholes, backbone cabling, and internal distribution**. * Basic ability to read blueprints, conduit routes, and network diagrams. * Ability to work in a team and under technical supervision.
