PURPOSE AND WORK IMPACT The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for the laboratory housekeeping and cleaning program, and will support routine and repetitive process evaluations and raw material quality qualification for production inputs. They will ensure that the Quality Department receives required supplies and reference samples for manufactured product testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, under direct guidance and supervision, while adhering to all safety rules and regulations. In this role, they will operate and maintain performance of supplies and reference samples for product release as well as raw materials. They will prepare inventory control reports for supplies and reference samples and distribute them to the appropriate team members. Key Responsibilities - Ensure implementation of the laboratory housekeeping and cleaning program. - Support raw material analysis and evaluation to meet standards, including document verification and supplier verification against plant standards, with frequent guidance when required. - Collect and archive supplied raw material samples and distribute them for testing at external laboratories aligned with the plant’s quality policy. - Manage laboratory supply stock aligned with required quality and continuity of analytical performance. - Ensure inventory control of supplies and reference samples. - Receive relevant training and documentation, such as procedures, standards, recommendations, and instructions, to perform general tasks in accordance with the plant’s quality policy. - Perform other assigned duties. Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years old - Completed high school or higher education - Experience using a computer - Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as Excel and Word - Ability to perform physical tasks—including bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, squatting, or twisting—safely, with or without reasonable accommodation - Ability to lift up to 25 kg, with or without reasonable accommodation - Ability to work in elevated areas or spaces (1.20 meters or higher) - Ability to work in varied environments where noise, dust, chemicals, etc., may be present, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts, with prior notice - Prior experience in industrial processes or laboratory work preferred - Prior experience with inventory systems preferred At Cargill, we champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all our processes!. -Requirements- Minimum education: Upper secondary education – General High School years of experience Keywords: helper, assistant, auxiliary, aux, laboratory, lab technician
