**PURPOSE AND WORK IMPACT**
The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for the laboratory’s housekeeping and cleaning program, and will support routine and repetitive process evaluations as well as quality qualification of raw materials supplied for production. They will ensure that the Quality Department receives the required supplies for analyzing manufactured products in accordance with established policies and procedures, under direct guidance and supervision, while adhering to all safety rules and regulations. In this role, they will operate and monitor the performance of supplies and reference samples used for product release and raw materials. They will prepare inventory control reports for supplies and reference samples and distribute them to the appropriate team members.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Maintain the laboratory’s housekeeping and cleaning program.
* Support the execution of analyses and evaluations of raw materials to meet standards, including document verification and supplier verification against plant standards, with frequent guidance as required.
* Collect and archive raw material samples received and distribute them for testing at external laboratories aligned with the plant’s quality policy.
* Manage laboratory supply stock aligned with required quality and analytical performance continuity.
* Ensure inventory control of supplies and reference samples.
* Receive relevant training and documentation—including procedures, standards, recommendations, and instructions—for performing general tasks in accordance with the plant’s quality policy.
* Other assigned duties.
**Qualifications**
* Minimum age of 18 years
* Completed high school education or higher
* Experience using a computer
* Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as Excel and Word
* Ability to perform physical tasks—including bending, climbing up and down stairs, kneeling, stooping, or twisting—safely, with or without reasonable accommodation
* Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms, with or without reasonable accommodation
* Ability to work in elevated areas or spaces (1.20 meters or higher)
* Ability to work in various environments where noise, dust, chemicals, etc., may be present—using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
* Availability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts, with prior notice
* Prior experience working in industrial processes or laboratory settings is preferred
* Prior experience with inventory management systems is preferred
