About the Role We are seeking a talented and collaborative Software Engineer II – Python to join our Shadow Health development team in Mexico City. This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. You will contribute to building and enhancing web services and applications that support healthcare education through simulation\-based learning. Responsibilities* Work with the Tech Lead to solve moderate complexity software engineering problems. * Build new features and improve existing ones for our Learning Management System. * Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity. * Review code from other engineers and provide constructive feedback. * Complete moderately complex bug fixes. * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to ensure high\-quality delivery. * Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. * Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews. * Keep abreast of new technology developments. * All other duties as assigned. Requirements* 3\+ years of Software Engineering experience. * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. * Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Python, FastAPI, LangGraph, SQL, Docker, AWS, GitHub Actions, UNIX. * Proficiency with data manipulation languages and understanding of data modeling principles. * Ability to work with complex data models. * Familiarity with agile software development methodologies. * Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). * Knowledge of test\-driven development and industry best practices such as code coverage. * Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources. * Good oral and written communication skills.
