We are seeking an **Embedded Software Engineer with experience in development using the Yocto** **Project** to join an engineering team focused on the design, customization, and maintenance of embedded Linux platforms. The ideal candidate has a background in electronic or software engineering, solid knowledge of low-level hardware and software, and experience in system integration and device communication. **Suggested academic background:** * Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields. * Desired specialization or experience in Embedded Systems, Embedded Linux, or Kernel Development. **Required experience:** * Yocto Project: minimum 1 year of verifiable experience. * Creation and maintenance of layers and recipes. * Customization of images and BSPs. * Handling and integration of devicetree. * Compilation, configuration, and maintenance of the Linux Kernel. * Development and debugging of character device drivers. * Advanced diagnostics and debugging in embedded environments. * Programming (minimum 2 years): * C / C\+\+ for embedded applications and driver development. * Python for scripting, automation, and tool integration. **Databases:** * Familiarity with sqlite3 and MySQL. * Connectivity and protocols: * Knowledge of Wi\-Fi, Bluetooth, and LTE. * Protocols SSH, SFTP, and AT commands. * CAN, UART, and I2C communication. **Additional skills:** * Design and interpretation of algorithms, state machines, and flowcharts. * Modular and scalable design of embedded software. * Interpretation of electronic circuits and schematics. * Proficiency with measurement instruments: multimeter, oscilloscope, TTL–USB converter. **Personal competencies:** * Autonomy and ability to work towards objectives. * Responsibility and commitment to product quality. * Technical rigor in implementation, documentation, and testing. * Multidisciplinary collaboration with hardware, QA, and firmware teams. * Proactivity, analysis, and resolution of complex problems.
