Visit us at UST.com. **You Are:** The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance across people\-related matters and HR projects within the country, including benefits, compensation, labor relations, recruitment, restructuring, performance management, retention, and cost\-saving initiatives. This role ensures the implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with local employment laws and country strategy and timelines. **The opportunity:** * Act as the company’s HR representative in the country, engaging with internal stakeholders (e.g., Country Management Team, senior managers, employees, and employee representatives) and external entities (e.g., government agencies, universities, courts) to provide trusted guidance on people’s matters. * Monitor and share emerging trends, employee sentiment, and competitive practices in the Philippine/Mexico HR landscape around benefits and compensation and act as a local advisor by providing ground\-level feedback and insights to inform global Total Rewards strategies and ensure regional relevance. * Collaborate with the broader HR team to take ownership of country\-related HR topics and deliver commercially focused, client\-responsive solutions while ensuring compliance with local policies and legislation. * Promote and monitor HR projects within the country, such as employee engagement strategies, benefits packages, and cultural initiatives, to enhance employee experience and strengthen the company’s brand locally. * Serve as a point of contact for labor and government regulatory agencies as needed. * Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting and documentation requirements and respond promptly to HR audits. * Oversee the development and maintenance of HR policy, process, and procedure documentation, ensuring accessibility and clarity for all staff. * Implement and maintain operational HR metrics and people data to support informed decision\-making. * Collaborate with Legal and HR Operations to ensure HR processes, policies, record keeping, and forms comply with country and local labor laws. * Conduct spot checks on employee files to ensure audit readiness and provide compliance training to HR team members. * In consultation with VP HR Operations and General Counsel, and in coordination with HR BSEs, manage complex employee relations issues using appropriate counseling, investigative, intervention, and mediation techniques. * Act as an internal consultant and facilitator to managers and employees in resolving employment and performance\-related issues, in collaboration with HR BSEs as appropriate. * Work with the Director of Talent Management and HR Country Teams to ensure delivery of training to managers on HR operations and practices and communicate HR business practices clearly and timely to employees. This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. **What you need****:** * 9\+ years of experience. * Deep knowledge on the Business and functional aspects of the processes being implemented * Relevant HRC1 certification * Expertise in HR policies and procedures * Strong knowledge of hiring processes * Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations * Knowledge of compensation and benefits packages * Experience with performance management procedures * Clear perspective of functional and organizational objectives while designing and delivering efficient systems and processes. * Domain knowledge in one or more areas of HR specialization. * Process re\-engineering capability * Knowledge on technology automation and building scale **Benefits** Employees receive mandatory and non\-mandatory benefits such as fourteen (14\) days of vacation beginning on the date of hire, vacation premium, ten (10\) paid holidays, a Christmas Bonus of thirty (30\) days’ pay, Monthly Food Vouchers, Saving Fund, and health insurance.
